This five-story, 218,000-SF headquarters building, which fulfills the U.S. Army Reserve's mission to provide a consolidated location for a Command and Control Headquarters. The new headquarters houses 218,000-SF of administrative and special use areas including a 150-seat auditorium, an 80-seat cafeteria, an exhibition and library area for historic army artifacts, and data processing areas. The facility is located on a picturesque site within the historic Fort McPherson Army Installation just southwest of Atlanta. Other features of the facility include a stone-paved plaza in front of the main entry rotunda for formal and informal gatherings, outdoor dining area, and a 600-car parking deck with VIP dropoff area. The basement floor includes an Emergency Operations Center, an employee shower / locker room area, and service areas, including the central mechanical plant and loading dock.
